Rock Church

I don't normally go to church, so let's just get that straightened out right away. But today, I went with some friends and some odd, quirky thoughts seemed to process while the sermon or whatever was going on.

He was talking about the book of Revelations today, which apparently is the last book and talks about the apocalypse. He was basically saying not to interpret things too literally, as they are symbolic, nor to associate it with things that currently exist.

But I couldn't help at Revelations 19:11 (I don't even know if I wrote that correctly) that people have names we don't even know, for some reason, reminded me of the internet and how it's all based on aliases where someone's name is never revealed at all.

On another note, Revelations 20:10 talks about how hell is for Satan to be locked up in, reminds me of Kronos is the Greek Mythology sense.

I don't know, just random stuff I was thinking of.

Venice Rush

The story has no name. It is tentatively called "Rush", after the main male character's nickname.

And the blog id is venicerush, after the names of the two main characters.

Check it out! Only three chapters are up, though. It's sort of awesomely random. And no, the story has nothing to do with the city of Venice. It does, however, have to do with being on the run!

If you're familiar with Wuxia, then this story would probably make more sense to you. It's like Wuxia in the modern setting :)

Parenting

A LOT of people must have failed Kindergarten...or, parents just don't do anything with their kids nowadays, because people don't LOOK when crossing the street. I mean, seriously, a huge bus is moving your way and as you step onto the asphalt, you don't even glance up from your cell phone. It's ridiculous!

Look, I don't want to run over a girl simply because she wasn't looking when I was driving. The law protects you...but the law doesn't prevent death, okay?

A quote to end this post:

"Knowledge is realizing that the street is one-way, wisdom is looking both directions anyway." -- anonymous
